Description
The God of the Mound is the ancient Pagan god of Hate and Prejudice. He has been sleeping for as long as anyone can remember, and no one can say they’ve truly seen him outside of dreams or visions. The oldest recorded account of He Who Lives Beneath the Mound was in 1752, when a group of slave traders found ancient Native American scrolls. As the slave traders moved west to California, they soon began abandoning their Christian ways and formed a small cult sacrificing their black slaves and any other foreigners.
As the cult grew, the original families were pushed out and members of the infamous Ku Klux Klan took power and control of the religion. This off-shoot of the KKK then began sacrificing mass groups of African Americans in terrible rites in the Mojave Desert.
But even this new cult’s status began to grow thin. As the Pagan god began speaking to the children of the cultists in dreams, they created an awful plot against their parents. In the midst of the night, the children slit the throats of their parents and burned them in massive bonfires for their new god. EDIT: I changed his name from He Who Lives Beneath the Mound to The God of the Mound because it was sounding a little too much like a rip off of Children of the Corn.
